The highest water levels are likely with the Sunday midday high tides. * WHERE...Bronx, Northwest Suffolk, Northern Queens and Northern Nassau Counties. * WHEN...Until 6 PM EDT Sunday. * COASTAL IMPACTS...Minor to moderate flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Expect 1 to 2 ft, locally 2 1/2 ft, of inundation above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding. * SHOREFRONT/BEACH IMPACTS...Breaking waves of 3 to 6 ft, along with elevated water levels, will result in areas of dune erosion with damage to a few waterfront structures. Splashover over seawalls and overwashes where dune structures are compromised may locally exacerbate flooding of roadways and vulnerable structures behind protective dunes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Additional rounds of minor coastal flooding are possible for the Sunday night into early next week high tides.

In New York, Northeast Suffolk, Northern Nassau, Northwest Suffolk, Southeast Suffolk, Southern Nassau, and Southwest Suffolk Counties. * WHEN...Until noon EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
